چکیده

Primary testicular lymphoma (PTL) is a rare, aggressive form of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma (NHL) with a poor prognosis. The standard treatment strategy for cases of PTL with advanced stage at diagnosis, especially those with central nervous system (CNS) involvement, remains to be established. Here, we report the case of a 63-year-old Japanese man who developed PTL with CNS involvement, and was safely and effectively treated with CHASER (cyclophosphamide, high-dose cytarabine, dexamethasone, etoposide, and rituximab). CHASER led to the improvement of the neurological symptoms, and no signs of lymphoma were detected by fluorodeoxyglucose-positron emission tomography/computed tomography (FDG-PET/CT), including in the cerebrospinal fluid. In addition, peripheral blood stem cell harvest was successfully completed after four courses of CHASER. The present case suggests the possibility of CHASER as a safe and effective induction therapy for advanced NHL with CNS involvement at diagnosis.

Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia preceding the Diagnosis of Primary Central Nervous System Lymphoma

In this study, a 2.5-year-old boy suffering from a febrile seizure with normal laboratory tests and a history of immune hemolytic anemia was examined. Brain MRI demonstrated some tumors in the frontal, parietal, and occipital lobe that corroborated the pathology results of primary central nervous system lymphoma for the patient. The patient was treated with high- dose of Methotrexate. Our re...

Concomitant Primary Cerebral Lymphoma and Meningioma: Report of a Case and Review of Literature

Primary central nervous system lymphoma (PCNSL) is a rare cancer that confined to the brain, spinal cord, leptomeninges and eyes. The origin of this type of lymphoma is often type B lymphocytes, and because the central nervous system (CNS) has no lymph nodes or lymphatic vessels, the cause of PCNSL is still uncertain (1). But its source appears to be from lymphocytes located in the CNS (2). Thi...

Primary testicular lymphoma with cardiac involvement in an immunocompetent patient: case report and a concise review of literature

Primary testicular lymphoma (PTL) is a rare testicular tumor representing less than 9% of all testicular cancers. PTL usually tends to spread to or relapse at nodal structures or extra-nodal sites such as contralateral testes, central nervous system, skin, lung, pleura, waldeyer's ring and soft tissues. We present a case of PTL with huge left atrial mass, an extremely unusual site of involvemen...

Primary Testicular NK/T-cell Lymphoma presented as testicular abscess: A Case Report and Literature Review of 33 cases

Primary testicular NK/T-cell lymphoma is rare. We report a 61-year-old Thai man who presented with right testicular abscess clinically but tissue obtained from incision and drainage was proven to be NK/T-cell lymphoma. The lymphoma cells were small to medium in size and showed angiocentricity with associated necrosis. The lymphoma cells were CD3+ (cytoplasmic), CD43+, CD56+, TIA-1+, Ki-67+ (nea...
